Edgemont Community Association (ECA) Recreational Soccer by SoccerTech

ECA Recreational Soccer by SoccerTech is a fun, volunteer-driven, community-based soccer program for children aged 3-17. The program runs from April till June on soccer fields throughout Edgemont.

SoccerTech is a grassroots, non-profit, soccer organization whose goal is to teach children the fundamentals of soccer while keeping the focus on fun.

Food Handling Course - January 18th, 2020

SafeCheck Advanced Food Safety training session - Approved Canada wide.

This course gives people the opportunity to be well equipped and informed on proper food safety standards needed in jobs that require food handling.

The course runs from 8:15-5:30 and the exam is administered after the end of the day. A certificate of qualification, with an expiration of 5 years, is issued within 2-3 weeks of the course date. ALL course materials are provided. Max participants are 30ppl, minimum to guarantee is 10ppl.

As an ECA member, you are offered a discounted price of $80+GST per person for the day which is roughly a 10% discount from the usual $98 fee.

Seniors Sip and Socials 50+

Wednesdays 130pm-3pm in the Boardroom
The theme for November is Travel come bring your favorite pictures and stories

$2 drop-in or FREE for members

Designed for the Seniors of Edgemont. However, everyone is welcome to come and have a coffee or tea.

We won’t be checking ID’s at the door, but make sure you come to say hi at the Office before you go socialize.

Build puzzles, play cards, show the group some of your skills/hobbies and have fun socializing. We have been growing in numbers, come meet the regulars!

Reading together program

Ages 16+ ESL and EFL together in one place*

Get together and pick a book amongst yourself to read - Book-style/title chosen by vote - Support each other with reading

Each month read out loud together with the book of choice and discuss other books you are reading. Help each other out.
This program is to be used as a way of helping English Second Language and people with English First language reading skills to come together and create a circle of support.

We would like this to also be considered a Cafe’ or mingling program so please take the last 30 minutes to talk among yourselves about anything you like.
