The Edgemont Community Association (ECA) is led by an all-volunteer Board of Directors. The Board provides governance direction and oversight to the ECA's programs, facilities, and initiatives, including the hiring and management of the ECA's General Manager. The General Manager hires and manages ECA staff, and provides ongoing management of the ECA's facilities, programs, and initiatives. Board Directors are elected by the ECA members at the Annual General Meeting, usually held sometime in April-May.
Much of the Board's work is accomplished through committee work, with a variety of committees, and each committee with a specific area of focus (such as Finance, Programs, etc). Each committee is typically made up of several board directors, sometimes a member of staff, and sometimes a volunteer member of the community with specific interests and skills relating to the committee's area of responsibility.
The ECA Board is currently seeking community volunteers with specific areas of skills and interest to help with a number of ongoing committees and initiatives:
Human Resources - volunteer(s) with expertise and experience in areas such as HR management, policies, compensation, employment law
Communications/IT - volunteer(s) with expertise and experience in areas such as:
- web site development and management, social media
- general IT infrastructure management, e-commerce, and cyber-security
- branding, marketing, community engagement
